You have probably heard about the Shard. This is the tallest tower of the entire European Union, being 309 meters high and was opened to public back in February of 2013. It is a stunning building that has an incredible view of England’s capital allowing you to enjoy the amazing 360-degree views while attending the New Year’s party, which includes the welcome cocktail, as well as the glass of champagne for the midnight. There will also be a live music show with the Diamond Boys.

The next event on our list is definitely one of our favorites – the New Year’s Eve party at the Fabric! To remind you, this is one of the best nightclubs of the city, opened in 1999 and being able to take up to 2,500 people in the three separate rooms. The Clerkenwell dance palace will, this time, have Eats Everything, George Fitzgerald, Richy Ahmed, and Nina Kraviz, and these artists are a guarantee that the New Year’s Eve at the Fabric will be a night to remember.

Just like the Shard, the Gherkin is also one of the newest symbols of London, immediately recognizable with its interesting shape which is a fine example of the contemporary architecture. And on the top of the Gherkin, one can find the Searcy’s, one of the most elegant restaurants of London and surely one of those with amazing views of the city. The iconic, domed roof of the Gherkin will be decorated with Christmas decorations, and there will, of course, be a lot of meals and drinks.

If you happen to find yourself in London on the New Year’s Eve, be sure not to miss the magnificent fireworks show, one of the best in Europe. Since there is a stunning number of people who crowd the bank of the river to get a nice view, this event is now ticketed (since the last year), and this means that the safety of everyone is now ensured. In the last few years, the Disappearing Dining Club has been throwing all sorts of parties at various launderettes, antique shops, churches, abandoned venues, galleries, rooftops, beaches, and many other unusual places. And for the New Year’s Eve of 2016, the DDC is throwing a dinner dance at the Chainstore, Blackwall, which is an old Victorian warehouse that is connected to the last remaining lighthouse in London. There will be cocktails, a three-course dinner, canapés, as well as the disco after the midnight celebration.

The next event in our 2015-2016 New Year’s Eve London Special would be the an unforgettable boat trip along the river which will allow you to see the famous Big Ben bonging the beginning of 2016, which will then be followed by an unforgettable fireworks show. The Thames Rib Experience is, actually, a large inflatable speed boat, which will sail along the river and have a serving of the refreshments. You can board it at the St. Katherine’s Pier.

Have you ever heard about the cèilidh? This thing is an old, traditional social gathering practiced by Gaels, an indigenous ethnolinguistic group of northwestern Europe. There will be one held at the St. Leonard’s Church, in Streatham, bringing you a unique way to spend your New Year’s Eve. The tunes of Caledonia will be provided by Faux Key (a DJ), and there will also be a Cèilidh Tree band, as well as the great number of wines and local ales.

The Monkey Business is one of the best comedy clubs of the capital, as it was established in 2002 and stands as one of the longest running clubs of such kind in London. They have been putting the established comedians on their stages for over a decade and are now hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration in the Glasshouse room of the Holiday Inn hotel in Camden Lock. There will be some fine vegetarian food, live music, and, of course, good laughs.

The next place on our list also goes to the event that will be held by a comedy club, this time, the Piccadilly Comedy Club (PCC). They will celebrate the coming of the New Year with two shows that will be held at the Comedy Pub, in the London district of Soho. This includes the first show, which starts at 7:30 p.m. and the second show, which starts at 8 p.m. bringing you Tim Renkow, Marcel Lucont, and Sunil Patel.

What do you do if your kids want to see the New Year, but you don’t want them to stay awake for son long? You bring them to the Legoland New Year’s Eve celebration, of course! This event is perfect for parents who will be staying at the Legoland Hotel – the fireworks will start at 9 p.m, which means that the toddlers will still experience the joys of the New Year. There will also be some activities, like the various games and the disco.

The Jazz Cafe is one of the most popular venues in the Camden Town, and certainly a good place to have a New Year’s Eve celebration. For just £35, you will get a ton of good music – there will be various DJs, a punk band called Tankus the Henge, funk-master Dom Servini, the hip-hop act called Old Dirty Brasstards, as well as the grand 12-piece orchestra NUbiyan Twists that plays jazz. This is surely a nice way to start your 2016!

And when it comes to the New Year’s Eve, this club will be hosting an event which will be led by Ninia Benjamin, and will bring Adam Bloom, Mo Gilligan, and Kate Lucas to entertain the public.

To end our list, we bring you one pretty unique event – New Year’s Eve versus New York City! Everything about this event has something to do with the famous American metropolis, with the soundtrack that features only the New York artists. If you like The Ramones, The Strokes, The Parquet Courts, The Talking Heads, The Beastie Boys and other NY bands, this is a place to go! It will be held at the Shacklewell Arms, and there will also be a prize for the person who comes in the fanciest NYC dress.
