Some people simply like to dine out on Christmas, without all the fuss that is brought by the usual turkey dinner inside the house, and these restaurants can easily bring you the atmosphere of the traditional Christmas dining, for a reasonable price (well, this goes for some of them). We rounded up the fifteen of these restaurants in our Christmas Day Special Dining in London, visiting all of them and which meals they offer when it comes to Christmas. You can expect all sorts of meat, sauces, fish, soups, seafood, cheese, vegetables, desserts, and everything else that you might be considering should be a part of the Christmas dish. Of course, this includes some of the finest wines and beverages of the world, with all of this served in the ambient that is usually decorated in the spirit of the winter holidays. 1.The Colony Grill (The Beaumont)


The first place on our list goes to the Colony Grill, which would be the restaurant of a truly fabulous Beaumont, one of the newer five-star hotels in the London district of Mayfair. The dining room of this place has low ceilings and is decorated with dark wood and has the portraits of the TV and movie stars. This retro Hollywood theme goes perfectly with the Christmas feeling, and we would suggest you to check out their Christmas menu, which adds some American sandwiches.

2. Orange Public House


The next restaurant on our list would be the Orange Public House, a smart gastropub that also has some rooms, and can be found in the London district of Belgravia. The decor of this place includes some pretty interesting vintage travel posters, the wooden tables (as well as the flooring), and distressed walls. And when it comes to Christmas, the Orange Public House has a special menu that brings the things like the duck liver, blackberries, chestnut Brulee, turkey, pumpkin, and carrots.

3. The Grazing Goat

As the name suggests, this restaurant is located on the Dean Street, which is in the London district of Soho. You will certainly like the interior of this place – it is the definition of the leisure lifestyle, featuring some really comfortable chairs and impeccable atmosphere. The Dean Street Townhouse brings one of the pricier Christmas meals, but it’s also one worth the all that money. It has champagne, mince pies, pressed hams, turkey, pudding, coffee, the Hereford beef, and other tasty things.

5. Bar Boulud


The next restaurant on the list would be the Bar Boulud, located in Belgravia. It as an outpost of the New York group of eateries, and it offers the finest American and French meals. On the Christmas Day, the Bar Boulud offers meals that include the smoked salmon, venison, turkey, truffle risotto and monkfish. There are also the vegetarian dishes, such as the celeriac puree or the parmesan foam. Unfortunately, there is no Christmas pudding, but there is the tasty blood orange tart.

6. Chapters All Day Dining


This place can be found on the Montpelier Vale, which would be in the district of Blackheath (South London). It is the local favorite for almost all kinds of celebrations and meals, having all sorts of customers, from the couples who come on a date to big families with lots of small kids. For the Christmas, the Chapters All Day Dining offers the five-course meal, which brings things such as carpaccio of venison, the roast beef fillet or goose croquant.

7. Duck & Waffle


You have probably heard for the spectacular view that this restaurant offers – it is situated on the 40th floor of the amazing Heron Tower, overlooking Moorgate and the entire city. This interesting eatery is opened on Christmas day and brings the five-course meal that features modern European food, like the truffle polenta, crispy parmesan, or the artichoke ravioli. There is also a nice surprise – the pudding is, on the menu, listed as the “sweet surprise”. This Christmas menu will cost you £85.

8. Min Jiang


If you want to do the Christmas dining in an alternative way, this would be the place to go. Situated in Kensington, the Min Jiang can be found on the tenth floor of the luxurious Royal Garden Hotel, having a beautiful view of the famous Kensington Gardens. This view will go pretty well with the Christmas day menu – it features the things like the fried Dover sole, seafood soup, ginger cake, winter melon, warm honey, and the ice cream. For some extra cash, you can, of course, go with the Beijing duck.

9. York & Albany


Located in the funky Camden Town, this restaurant is also a boutique hotel and a bar and has an unforgettable Victorian atmosphere, and is owned by the famous Gordon Ramsay. When it comes to Christmas dining, the York & Albany offers its customers a five-course menu that start with canapés, after which comes the artichoke soup that is followed by the shrimp salad. After that comes the tasty Christmas turkey and the guests can then eat sweets like the usual Christmas pudding or the chocolate products.

10. The Cinnamon Club


The Cinnamon Club can be found in an old Victorian building in the district of Westminster, having that certain gentlemen’s club feel of the 19th century. It is the pan-Indian eatery and a perfect place to visit on the Christmas day. The festive menu consists of the things like the masala Christmas pudding, the Tandoori pheasant, the spiced goose breast, and the classic yuletide ingredients. One can also have a lamb shoulder that comes with the tasty saffron sauce.

11. The Spaniards Inn


Now, this place is rather old, as it works ever since 1585 and had Keats and Dickens as regulars. It features a very cozy atmosphere, with low beams and dark panels. This ancient tavern is a great place to visit on the Christmas day, as it offers the three-course festive menu that consists of the spiced carrot soup, the duck with shallot, the roast turkey, the fried sea bass and other fine things. There is also the Christmas pudding and the coconut cheesecake.

12. Hubbard & Bell


The next restaurant in our Christmas Day Special Dining in London would be the Hubbard & Bell, which is located in the London district of High Holborn. It is styled to look like on of those Brooklyn warehouses, having a very interesting atmosphere which goes well with the festive feelings. The Christmas menu of this place consists of some fine Italian meals, bringing you things such as the classic roast turkey, beef crudo, pickled cranberries, monkfish, and other meals. There is also the brandy pudding.

13. Queens Pub and Dining Room


This place is the member of the Food and Fuel group and has a large dining room, a huge bar, and the open kitchen. It is located in Crouch’s End, at the Broadway Parade, and is a pretty good choice when it comes to Christmas dining. If you visit the Queens Pub and Dining Room on this important Christian holiday, you’ll have the chance to eat meals such as the blue cheese with jelly, the smoked duck breast, Norfolk turkey, and the Christmas pudding.

14. Tayyabs


Located at the Fieldgate Street, in Whitechapel, the Tayyabs is one of the most famous Indian restaurants in the city, since it opened all the way back in the early 1970s. It is a very busy place that even swallowed the nearby pub, and it is not recommended to come here without booking. On the Christmas day, the Tayyabs offers their usual kebabs (which are incredible) and curries, as well as the spiced lamb. The best thing here would be the reasonable price.

15. Darbaar


The last place in our Christmas Day Special London Dining goes to yet another Indian restaurant, this one called the Darbaar and being located in the famous district of Shoreditch. It is a very large eatery spread over 5000 square feet of space. For Christmas, the Daarbar offers the Christmas cocktails that will be followed with the chilli crab, coconut soup, and kebabs. After that comes the main thing – the goan-spiced goose. There will also be a Christmas cake, and all of this will cost you £45.
