Want to get fit in the capital? Well these perfect gyms will surely have the answers you need.

London, as a whole is a lot less fanatical about fitness than many major cities. Ask the denizens of New York about their health and they’ll bore you to death with talks of shakes and smoothies and exercises and runs in the park. Some of them can tell you their weekly gym workout from memory and seem rather proud of that fact.

We’re a little a bit more laid back about things. To us, the best way to get fit is just to be sensible and to invest a little time into one of the best luxury gyms in London. An hour a week in one of these places, with a trained who knows his stuff and the right diet, can be all it takes to get in great shape. The whole thing can be intimidating to newcomers, after all it’s a new world that you know nothing about and everyone else in it seems so clued in to what they’re doing. It’s easy to forget however, that everyone was new once. A good guide will get your well on your way and make things a lot easier for you. That’s why a gym membership is often essential: try going it alone and you’ll soon find yourself a bit lost. You want to tone your core, but does that mean you have to eat more or less? You want to cut off that excess flab but will doing too much cardio vascular actually make it worse?  Investing money into an expert is something that you won’t regret.

It’s famed for its incredible selection of celebrity clients. As you would expect from a high profile gym in the heart of Kensington, it offers the very best of the best to the very best of the best. Don’t be put off though, they let us normal people in too. In fact, they’re great at accommodating everyone, be they newcomers or seasoned vets, millionaires or your average joes. The equality you get from this gym is hard to find elsewhere if you also want the same high standards that drive the pros in the door.

Central Ymca

For a luxury gym, it’s cheap. After our little speech about the value of a trained and putting the money in, this might seem an odd thing to mention but it’s important. Quality doesn’t always have to come at a price and we can appreciate a tight budget. Those on one shouldn’t be excluded from the world of excellent exercise, a view we share with the Central branch of the YMCA gym. Low membership rates are a key selling point for them, although they can offer some great services for a little extra.
