Ah the strip bar, the source of much worry and finger wagging from the dour elements of society and half concealed glee from the rest. It’s not a particularly complex idea really: men like women’s bodies, men like beer, men like socialising. Combine the three and take away any strings or hassle or it’s sure to sell like hotcakes. It gets a little bit more difficult when you consider the outside factors. There are many that claim that even the best strips bars in London objectify women as if they were nothing more than little amusements for men.
We don’t agree with that point of view honestly. It might seem very persuasive to most, and we can see why you would think that. The thing is though, objectification is an overused word. Appreciating someone purely for their body is not objectification, it only strays into that territory if you then completely discount the person behind the body. When simple chemistry becomes all that you see in a person, then obviously that is a problem. The average strip club isn’t like that. The men that go there don’t think of the women as objects used only for their amusements, they think of them as beatiful ladies. It’s a subtle distinction but one that’s very important.
